Have you ever thought "Damn, Diana's funny! Why doesn't she do sketch comedy?!" Well, I must've read your mind. Come out this Friday and Saturday, March 12th and 13th at 9pm for the first live performance of my sketch comedy troupe STuff at No Idea Bar, 30 East 20th street (btwn Park and Broadway). One last Loose Knit review before we close, from the Star Ledger. Peter Filichia says "Diana Cherkas enhances Liz's tart nature through her own Bebe-Neuwirth-mixed-with-Bea-Arthur sensibility." This one isn't online though, but I'm posting a link to the full review anyway on the reviews page.

The reviews are in! "The lovely and deftly comedic Diana Cherkas portrays Liz with a verve and sparkle that belies the false notion that being strong and dominant need compromise a woman's feminine appeal." says Bob Rendell. Check out the reviews page for more.

Loose Knit opened to a packed house and William Westhoven couldn't even wait for his full review to reccommend it and our "excellent cast" -- so he posted on his blog "I’ll post my official Review Preview soon enough but I wanted to get the word out quickly about this one. Saw the opening of Theresa Rebeck’s ”Loose Knit” last night at Centenary Stage Company in Hackettstown and it was terrific."

Filmed music videos for three songs off of Mudvayne's soon-to-be-released fifth album. Directed by Frankie Nasso, I play both the female lead and a miniaturized glowing pixie. The high concept shoot involved green screen, full body make-up and some insane special effects make-up.

Filmed I Object for Harrington Talents, a pilot directed by Frank Mosca in the style of a mock reality show. I play Diana, a bride-to-be whose brother objects vehemently to her interracial marriage.

The Dueling Princess opened as part of Week 3 of the Estrogenius Festival. We only run for one week so don't put off for next week what you can only see until Saturday. By those who have already seen it, we've been compared to Sex in the City, but with sword play! Visit OvationTix for show times and tickets, or call the Manhattan Theatre Source at (212) 260-4698 to order your tickets avoiding the online handling fee.

The reviews are in!  Peter Filichia of the Star-Ledger says "Diana Cherkas is so distinctive as a foul-mouthed actress, and then a modest maiden, that it's not hard to assume that different women are playing the parts."  Read more on the reviews page
