I started out in voiceovers at the age of 7. Discovered in a dance class (doing as much talking as dancing) by Michael Sporn Animations, I recorded the voice of Lisa in The Red Shoes, an award winning HBO special.   A few voice-overs and a few years later, I attended LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts (aka. the “Fame” school) as a drama major then went on to Georgetown University and the Moscow Art Theatre School). Beyond my training, here are a few things that might be of interest:

  • I'm a tech geek. I hand-code HTML, CSS, XML, design websites, and can sit in front of a computer without getting up for an entire day
  • I am a word nerd. Having been a medical copy editor, I am more familiar with medical terminology than any layman should be. Also, you'll never get a text or email from me saying “r u on ur way” or “l8r.” Words will be spelled out and sentences punctuated correctly
  • I am a foodie and cook. My knife skills are pretty good, and I am comfortable in the kitchen. I make pizza from scratch, dough and all. I make my own Thai chili sauce. I usually have extra fresh baked goods on hand. (I'd be happy to bring you some. Seriously, please eat them so I don't have to.)
  • I used to speak Italian and Russian. Though I've forgotten most of the vocab, I still have a good accent when I speak. If you give me a few minutes, I can say something lovely. If you ask me to say something on the spot, I will panic
  • I am very comfortable in my own skin. I have no real issues with my physical appearance or looking silly or stupid. If I weren't an actor, I'd rarely wear make-up. Not sure whether to attribute it to my uber-supportive parents or bald-faced insanity
